A Note From Mrs. Broome!

What a pleasure it's been to jump on board on Wednesdays at HCMA!  Since the first day of school, Teacher Jen and her students have been working to build a knid and cheerful community of learning... and it shows!  The students' helpful ways, eagerness to learn, and willingness to work have allowed us to accomplish a great deal!

The past two Wednesdays we've been discovering and celebrating the world of apples!  We've read books, practiced important skills through chart poems (that we can read ourselves!), sung songs, published two class books, made and analyzed our own apple glyphs, created apple dolls and wrote about them, and even made the most delicious Cardigan Mtn. applesauce!  Kindergarten is where it's at!  (I wasn't kidding when I said these little friends were hard workers!)

Did you know? . . . If you ate one apple variety each day, it would take 27 years to eat one of every type of apple grown int he world!

Until next time!
