What is Nature Preschool?
The Nature Preschool at Heart Centered Multi-Age is a child-centered outdoor preschool program held in partnership with the Slim Baker Foundation for Outdoor Education, Inc. Our play-based curriculum is designed specifically for our youngest learners.
At Heart Centered Multi-Age, we believe that children learn best in a fun and exciting environment. We believe in the education of the the whole child, cognitively, physically, socially, and spiritually.
Congitively - Children in the Nature Preschool develop congnitive skills such as literacy and numeracy, and a willingness to apply themselves in problem solving.
Physically - Children in the Nature Preschool develop physical competence through fine and gross motor play and building with one's own hands.
Socially, - Children in the Nature Preschool develop a sense of empathy, reciprocity and love of family, friends and others.
Spiritually - Children in the Nature Preschool develop a spiritual sense of unity between self and the natural world and all its creatures. *
